The questions couples actually ask us, answered plainly. If yours is not here, call 612-387-1900 and ask.
Most couples book nine to eighteen months out. Peak Minnesota dates — Saturdays from June through October, plus New Year's Eve — go first and often fill more than a year ahead. If your date is closer than that, still ask. Cancellations and midweek or off-season dates open up regularly.
Pricing depends on how many hours you need covered, whether you want ceremony sound, whether you want lighting, your venue's setup requirements, and travel. We quote your specific wedding rather than publishing a number that would not apply to you. Ask for an estimate and you will get a real figure, not a range.
A signed agreement and a retainer. The retainer applies to your total and reserves the date exclusively — we do not double-book. The balance is due before the wedding.
Yes, always. It protects both of us. It states your date, your venue, your hours of coverage, exactly what services are included, and what happens if plans change.
Tell us as soon as you know. If we are available on the new date, we move your booking. If we are not, we will tell you honestly and help you find someone reputable. Specific terms are in your agreement.
Yes, and you should. Your preferences are the starting point, not a suggestion box. We build the night around your must-play songs, your special dances, your ceremony selections, and the styles you want represented.
Please do. It is one of the most useful things you can hand us. If there is a song, an artist, or a whole genre you do not want at your wedding, we will not play it — including if a guest requests it.
That is your call. Some couples want an open request policy, some want requests screened against their list, and some want none at all. Whichever you choose, we honor your do-not-play list first, then judge whether a request fits the moment and the dance floor.
Send it to us. If we cannot source a clean, high-quality version, we will tell you well before the wedding rather than discovering it that night. For a first dance or a parent dance, we would rather have the file weeks in advance.
Yes. Four-and-a-half-minute first dances feel long on a dance floor. If you want a song trimmed, faded, or cut to a specific length, tell us and we will prepare it ahead of time.
Yes, and it is included, not an upsell. Introductions, dinner announcements, toasts, special dances, cake, bouquet, and last call all get announced clearly and warmly. We keep the microphone work focused on you rather than on the DJ.
Yes. Ceremony service covers processional and recessional music plus microphones for your officiant, your vows, and your readings. We review the ceremony location beforehand so the system fits the space, indoors or out.
Yes. Uplighting adds color around the perimeter of the room, and dance floor lighting gives the dancing portion of the night its own look. We match lighting to your colors and to what the venue allows.
Early enough to set up, sound check, and be finished before your first guest walks in. Exact arrival depends on your venue's access window and how much of the day we are covering; we confirm it in your final timeline.
We dress to match your wedding. Standard is business or formal attire. If your celebration is more casual or has a specific look, tell us and we will match it.
We bring backup. Redundant playback, spare cables, spare microphones, and a backup speaker. Weddings do not get a second take, so we plan for the parts that can break.
Generally a space about ten feet by six feet near the dance floor and access to standard grounded outlets on a dedicated circuit if possible. Ceremony and lighting setups have their own needs. We coordinate this directly with your venue so you do not have to relay it.
Usually, if your venue allows it and we have the room in our schedule. Overtime is billed in blocks — ask on the night and we will tell you the cost before we agree to it.
Yes. We regularly work throughout the Twin Cities metro, including the western, northwest, north, and southern suburbs. Tell us your venue and we will confirm availability and whether any travel applies.
Yes, we carry liability insurance. Many venues require a certificate of insurance from vendors — give us your venue's contact and we will send it directly.
Yes, and it makes a real difference. We share the timeline with your planner, photographer, videographer, and catering lead so the first dance is not announced while the photographer is changing a lens.
Of course. A phone or video call is usually enough to know whether we are a fit. Ask us anything — how we handle requests, how we announce, what we would do with your specific timeline.
Call us and ask. We would rather answer it now than have you guess.
